Sloss Industries Coke Division
 Sloss Industries Corporation has been one of the nation's leading manufacturers of
coke since 1920. Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, the Coke Division expanded steadily
throughout the middle of the twentieth century, parallel to the city's emergence as
a major center for iron and steel production.
That growth has been sustained over the years; significant advancements have been made
in plant technology as well as product quality; and, as a result, the division now produces
approximately 460,000 tons of coke annually, meeting the most exacting requirements of
the blast furnace market and the foundry industry alike.
